The Proceeds

I have been asked, "With all of the money you have spent to launch this endeavor why didn't you just write a series of checks to support the children’s charities of your choice?" My reply is simple. I wanted this approach to be personal. I wanted to take what really matters to me most and physically devote my energy into something that could grow into more than I could afford to do alone. I see it as a personal philanthropic investment, and it will be ongoing.

Due to the events that have unfolded in our economy I have seen a change in the emotional state of people. Unhappiness is a part of life for many. Our instinct is to withdraw and not give of ourselves during times like this. We need to do the opposite! When we stop giving our heart acts as a barrier. Love and new opportunity cannot flow forth. Giving allows us to receive goodness. I will use my endeavor to remind people of this.

How will the endeavor help?

I will generate donations by giving 10% of sales of my books, related merchandise, and services offered through the team of people featured on my website. These individuals have all directly touched my life on a personal level. They are beautiful people who are committed to their work and enjoy helping others.

"Gabriel’s Wishing Well" is part of my open forum where anyone can participate to do a good deed and grant a wish by donating resources, money, gift cards, specific requested items, or services to families or charitable organizations in need. I will provide wish lists and make arrangements for those wishes to be fulfilled.

"Children To Children" gives kids a chance to participate in a philanthropic way by experiencing the meaning of "giving of oneself." Individual children, schools, churches, and other groups who wish to participate can involve themselves in a variety of personal or community projects which will raise money for a specific cause or charity of their choice.

Who will the endeavor help?

I will help a wide variety of reputable small and large non-profit children’s organizations, hospitals, public and private schools, churches, as well as needy individual families. I will also help schools and organizations to develop fundraiser programs designed to benefit their specific needs.
